Boots Goodies…

Hi again,

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.

We are going pumpkin picking today so I will be posting a vlog up on my channel here either today or tomorrow depending on what time we get back.

Boots…

I popped into Boots again the other day (I can’t stay away lately) and I picked up two items to add to my make-up collection which I have to admit looks a bit bleak. Like I have said before, I am not a great believer in buying expensive make-up all the time, so I was quite happy to try both the: “SEVENTEEN Define & Conquer Contour Kit” and the: “No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation“.

I definitely need to practice my contouring so I hoping this particular contour kit which has recently been reviewed by Michelle Keegan, will be a good start.

As for the foundation; well I needed a new one that wasn’t so shiny. If you have seen my latest video on my channel you will see how ridiculously shiny my make-up is. The light bounced off all the wrong places and in my opinion my face looked awful and puffy.

Seeing this video made me re-think my foundation options so I headed over to Boots. I would have tried a more expensive one but with me having quite a bit of financial pressure at the moment with expanding my professional make-up kit, I figured that a cheaper one would have to do for me.

No 17 Perfectly Matte Foundation…

Ok, so I know this foundation is only £13.50 but wow I love it and I am really hoping my face won’t be shiny in my next video because I think if it were I don’t know if I would do another one with me in it as it really bothered me. So fingers crossed! The coverage on this foundation is excellent and in my opinion it is the ideal winter foundation. After I have applied it, I add a sheer powder on top to help set it.

Also in order to find the perfect colour for me the store used a shade matching machine and I would say it did a pretty good job of matching me with the right shade. Big thumbs up.

SEVENTEEN Define and Conquer Contour Kit…

To be honest I am not the greatest at contouring so I needed some practice. I did not want to go ahead and buy the Charlotte Tilbury’s Filmstar Bronze and Glow because for one it is quite expensive and two, if I wasn’t keen on contouring I would have wasted money, so I have started out with this little gem.

Yes it is cheap at only £5.99 but it is incredible value for money and it has a little instruction card which shows you how and where to contour which is ideal for those of you who are starting out. I have used it a couple of times so far and I am very happy with the result. I will continue to practice and to be honest I don’t have any great desire to buy a more expensive one just yet; especially since this is matte which is ideal for on camera so that I don’t get too much shine which my face is prone to anyway.

Oh and I forgot to say that I also bought this gorgeous lipstick in colour: Raspberry Blush 156 which is also from Boots No7 range. I am also wearing this on the the picture below:

Here is a pic of me wearing the foundation, contour kit and No7 Lipstick which I also posted on my Twitter account:

That’s all for today lovelies
